You've already stated that you were trying. You said you have some sort of an "internet persona". That you're not yourself. Therefore, by trying hard to be someone you're not, you've managed to offend a few people (and I'm glad I'm not the only one, I'm starting to feel too sensitive). And your statement that everyone is that way is false. I don't pretend to be someone else just because I have the comfort of hiding behind a computer screen. This is what I'm like if you were to meet me on the street here in St. Louis. So be yourself and perhaps we'll like you a lot more. People who have insecurities actually rock. It makes them human.
