Indeed. I'm responsible for the recent spate of Ranger77 comics on the toprated page. But I wasn't unaware of what would happen -- I was looking at his info page, saw that a lot of his comics were rated 10 after 4 votes, and went through systematically and voted on them, knowing that this would give them the 5 votes and the score necessary to put them on the toprated list. I also knew that within a few days, other people would notice them and vote on them, which would clear most of them off. This seems to have happened by now.
Not that anybody's accusing me of anything, but just for the record, I voted honestly, and consistently with how I would vote on anybody's comics, so I have a clear conscience about this. I don't know Ranger77 and have never talked to him. Based on what I've seen of his work, I judge him to be a competent stripper.
This is really a non-issue, as others have observed. If anything, the problem is not that so many people have voted Ranger's comics good, but that so few people have voted on other comics. If you (plural) think it's unjust that Ranger77's comics are so well represented on the toprated page or the front page, allow me to suggest two fine courses of action you might take:
(1) Vote honestly on them.
(2) Vote honestly on other comics that you like.
Then wait patiently. It will all sort itself out eventually.
The what mentioned above is total fiction. Please don't take it seriously!
