1. When TV goes digital in Feb 2009, there the anolog TV waves that were in the air will go away and digital waves will replace them. Because digital waves take up a tenth of the space, the other 90% were recently up for sale. AT&T and Verizon bought most of it. The free waves I reference @ 3:05 can be studied more here

2. When @ 4:30 i talk about not being able to see behind you, I'm talking about how when you imagine anything, it's set out before your eyes in front of you and that you can imagine anything behind you. Even if you could you'd see yourself in 3D in front of you.

4. 14:15 I talk about "Tasting your memories" You can convince yourself  that a food will remind you of some great time you had. If you succeed, the food will taste even better and put you in that place.

 

i had someone tell me once to remember the last time i went swimming. get a picture of it in my head. okay, got it? was i in the picture? i was? how is that? i obviously wasn't remembering myself swimming. if so, the picture would have been first person of the waves and the trees above, etc.

it has to do with the narrative part of the brain. our brains narrate our sensory experiences as we have them, then later when we remember them, reconstructs them in story form. we're once removed from the actual experience. highlights the fact that consciousness is a weird recursive kind of thing where we're watching ourselves watching ourselves watching ourselves watching BJ and the Bear
