There's long been a problem with disappearing commas in profiles; commas simply aren't added when you press submit. While we wait for the official hotfix, you can get around the problem with HTML code. Just use , in place of commas -- that's ampersand, number sign, four, four, semicolon. This will add a comma in its place which doesn't get removed when you submit the updated profile.

Keep in mind, though, that if you go to edit your profile again, the edit tab will display regular commas, not the HTML code, which means if you just press update, the commas will disappear. You have to add &#44 every time you update anything in the profile, so I recommend just copying your profile to a .txt file on your computer for easy copy-pasting action later.

While on the topic of HTML code, you can use '   ' if you need to add consecutive non-breaking spaces in text -- that's ampersand, n, b, s, p, semicolon. This is a great trick for adding multiple consecutive spaces after another, or for forcing words onto the next line in speech bubbles, i.e.

In other words, HTML Code is awesome, and if you need more, here's a reference chart:

I originally posted this in the original thread reporting this bug at http://www.stripcreator.com/forums/showthread.php?postnum=267301 , but I'll re-post it here to make sure people know about it. Hope you don't mind.

Off-topic: Yay, I'm a donor.

I guess I missed the original post about this, sorry about that. I think it should be fixed now, give it a shot. Thanks for bringing it up again.

That exchanged the disappearing comma problem with the inability-to-use-HTML-Code-Like-<b>-or-<i>-in-profiles-problem.

I think I preferred the old one.

Perfect. Everything seems to be working normally. Good stuff, Brad, thanks!

Actually, cancel that; everything works except underlining. <u></u> automatically turns into <span style="text-decoration: underline;"></span>, but it doesn't actually add the underline. Everything ELSE works, though. Weird stuff.

That's pretty dumb. I'm swamped right now but I've got it on my list of things to take a look at.

The problem is in the HTML filtering routine, just not sure where exactly.

I think underlining should be fixed now.

My whole entire Profile has turned into HTML coding. Would this problem be somehow linked with yours?

All the text tags (bold, italics, underlines) work now. I had to remove all my <br> tags but that's no problem. You just have to edit your old version since it's all skewed.

Thanks mate, the only thing I need to fix is the image not showing up. I've used both bracket thingys:

For example:

<>  or [ ]

Neither will allow the image to show up, it only shows the HTML when I use the [ ] brackets. But with the < > brackets it just shows the URL.

Alright, so to display images in profiles now,
<img src="www.url.com/picture.jpg"> is the way to go.

For hyperlinks, it's all about
<a href="www.google.com">This Text Links To Google</a>

As always, <b></b>, <i></i> and <u></u> are bold, italic and underline.
