Anyone know where I can get my hands on a program that would allow me to easily save all of my comics to bitmap or jpg form? Maybe something that takes a list of urls as an input and outputs each of those urls as an image, so I don't have to print screen and paste each comic.

Even better would be a prog that would convert just the comic itself to an image, and not the rest of the webpage, but that's probably too good to be true.

If you don't know such a prog, maybe you could give me some of your favorite freeware/shareware links so I can search them for it. (I currently use www.tucows.com, www.shareware.com, and http://www.zdnet.com/downloads/ )

If I can't find such a prog, there's a chance I might make one up in the next couple of months. I think I can use Delphi's scanline command to capture a certain area of the screen, dependent upon a user input of screen resolution. (Any Delphi gurus out there should feel free to correct me.) The only thing I'm unsure about is the special programming considerations needed for the php format.

I use "Screen Snapz!" on my G4, not sure if there's a PC equivalent though. It's a great program, just lets you capture the whole comic in a simple button press.

All the pc's at college have been "infected" with SC comics, Wirthling's "You've got Cancer" classic was actually applauded.

In Windows, just hit your Print Screen key and then open your favorite graphics editor and hit paste. (Usually CTRL-V is the hotkey.) Then you can crop it and everything'll be cool.

As for automating the process, I'm sure you could find some sort of automation software that can record macros. Just install something like AnalogX's Capture, then loop a macro hitting the "next comic" arrow on your comics page and then the hotkey to capture the screen with the Capture program.

I don't know how nicely the server would handle that happening a ton though.

As god, I can assure you, maxawa, that there is a program called ACDSee. you can select how you want to take a screen capture then click the mouse and drag, like your selecting a file on the desktop and you can save to a picture file. very easy.
