I'll tell you how it works:
You make the _r and _l image for the gif. I call them _r and _l, everyone else does 01 and 02, but I don't, because I reserve that for poses.
Anyways, make sure the transparencies are correct. It is not acceptable to submit comics without fixing the transparency. I use opacity setting and high value tolerance in PSP to delete line edges. This only works if you use layerings to seperate your comic from the backdrop, otherwise, just use brightness or rgb value.
Also, the WIDEST character I have made is 115x200 (though don't go searching for him, I uploaded him already, yes, a while ago, but he isn't going to be uploaded in a while, more on that later.)
Make sure you delete the top area above the character, you know, the large empty space between him and the top that you mistakenly may have left there. I had that mistake on my first set, and had to fix almost all of them. What happens is that the text box appears *ABOVE* this area.
If Brad doesn't respond to your email, it's normal. He does read his email, and the forums. If you *REALLY* want to see his opinion, upload it to an HTTP:, go on IRC, and show him the link, it will be quick and painless for him to view, and he won't have to do anything about it for a while, you'll just get his reaction.
Finally, the warning. If you do upload your images, I don't know if you can expect them to be uploaded for a long time. Personally, I have about 100 characters (that's including left and right, directions, so in reality, over 50), in waiting. Brad decided not to upload any of my art, and I'm guessing it will apply to all art, for a while, due to bandwidth reasons. He was considering on making a monthly charge stripcreator account thing. People who pay 5 dollars a month will get new art. They'll essentially be paying for the bandwidth required to use the new art. A novel idea, really.
