I'm late. Sorry _d, drex, and brad. I really suck with time management.

On a happier note though, I'm really pleased with how the CD turned out. I managed to fit 21 songs on the CD, and not only that, but I didn't have to make any hard choices. I originally had around 40 or so songs, but I smacked that big 40-song boulder, and it naturally cleaved into two smaller boulders - a 19- and 21-song one. And the 21-song boulder was made up of songs I dug considerably more than the 19-song boulder, and 21 songs is the exact maximum number I could fit on a CD, so it worked out really well.

I went through and tried to fit songs together so that the ending of the song jived with the beginning of the next one. I avoided any clashes, and even achieved a couple of neat interactions (Also Sprach Zarathustra feeding into Dancing with Myself, and She's a Rainbow feeding into Anything you Want you Got It are two that come to mind.)

I made myself put off listening to drex's and _d's CDs till I had mine mailed off. (Brad, yours hasn't shown up yet, but looking at the dates of when it arrived for _d and drex, I'm thinking it's going to be any day now.) I'll be mailing off the CD later today, or tomorrow at the latest, so then will be listening and telling you all what I think. I'm bound to like them no matter what, since each time I listen to each CD I'll associate them with you, and that adds a finer texture to my knowing you, so will be pleasurable regardless. But I'll give song-specific feedback after listening today and tomorrow.

I think that's Hulk Hogan's entrance theme now.

You'll refer to Mr. Hogan as the Hulkster.

The CDs are all done and ready to ship. They'll be sent out on Monday without a doubt in the world. None. Zero. Nilch. Bragle.

Yeah I made that last one up.

Apologies again for the delay.

I'm going offline for awhile (don't believe me, it's a ploy), so my feedback will be delayed awhile, but when I give it, it will be nice and detailed since I plan on making the three CDs you guys sent, along with my Rocky Horror and Hedwig CDs, the staple of my auditory diet over the next couple of months.

I got the CD a few days ago and I've listened to it a few times now.

I'd actually heard maybe a third of the tracks before, but they're all good. Well, I'm not totally sure how I feel about "Dancing with Myself".

Interesting fact about that Nirvana track: my mom once told me she used to sing that song in Girl Scouts when she was younger. That's pretty fucked up, if you ask me. I mean, I interpret the song as being sung from the perspective of a jealous/possessive husband/boyfriend/whatever.

I hadn't heard the Rolling Stones track before, and I quite like it. Same goes for the Ravi Shankar track.

I'm still surprised every time I read the track list and re-discover that there's a Kid Rock song on there. It doesn't sound like anything else I've heard from him. It's like a country/blues song. Is it his own, or a cover?

The what mentioned above is total fiction. Please don't take it seriously!

That Kid Rock song is his own. He's actually a pretty eclectic dude, though his Kid Rock schtick sells the records. He also produces a lot of other folk, most notably being Uncle Kracker and Sheryl "Soak Up The Sun" Crow.

I got Obijo's CD today and I'm enjoying it. I've also heard a lot of it, but they were all pretty much songs I like so it's fun. I happen to really like Dancing With Myself for some reason. I think it's my favorite Billy Idol song.
