Back in 1978 I created a retarded half rock-giant NPC for the world I ran called Dundra. He fetched kegs at the inn in town, or picked up horses for the blacksmith to shoe... odd jobs for food and drink. For a few coppers he would help you carry back that dragon's treasure you just happened upon. He was better than a bag of holding.
