I did this one a month or so ago and forgot about it until I was "cleaning up" my archives a little. It's just not funny anymore after the whole Great White incident. Should it stay or should it go?

My philosophy with deleting comics is that, just like you can't take back life's mistakes, you shouldn't take back bad comics.

I don't know anything about any Great White incident. But I like this comic. I think it should stay.

I don't even know what "Great White" is. I assume it's a band. But the comic is decent. Not rollingly hilarious, but good enough to avoid deletion. Keep it.

By the way, I read at AMG that Great White was a sucky band anyway. Man, if you're gonna go out, woulnd't you want it to be a good concert? Not some rat hole in RI?

Nate, I heard a similar take on the Columbia disaster on a call-in show on Pacifica Radio in DC. The caller said (as near to an exact quote as I can get):

"That's God's territory. Every time Man go up there, God smash him down again. Now, Bush down here fuckin' up, and his kids down here fuckin' up... [radio host laughing in background]"

Anyone ever hear Ned? He's a radio personality on the air with Bubba the Love Sponge. I used to listen to his prank calls they'd play on the radio-

"Yes, is this barbie makers? Yes, there's a problem with this barbie I bought from you... this policewoman barbie is far to butch for me! I was not expecting to by such a insult to men everywhere! I've got it right in my mind to line up all these lesbian barbies in front of my GiJoe firing squad."

I live about a half an hour from where that happened. I knew of a few people who died in the fire. Very sad. There are kids without parents now.

The original, pre-independence name of Rhode Island was something like "Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations." Providence Plantations referred to the settled mainland area (around Providence, fancy that!) and Rhode Island referred to that big island part of the state where Newport lies today. So yes, there is a Rhode Island in Rhode Island that is an island, but what we now know as Rhode Island encompasses a lot more than that.
