I hate classical JUNK!!!!!! I like anything else (execpt most rap) and I like it turned up loud.

Well, I just dont feel that this punk junk, rap crap, pop stuff, metal garbage, and other music should be the things ruining youre eardrums. Its very unhealthy for youre ears! I dont enjoy it at all!! I feel that it is wrong to ruin youre body with things that are unnescessary to have. Music is not nescessary, so you shouldnt be ruining youre body with it!!!!!!!!

I'm not talking about Slipknot and shit. I'm talking about Therion, Blind Guardian, Dimmu Borgir, Iced Earth, Iron Maiden, Tristania, Theatre of Tragedy, and Moonspell. Maybe if you had a listen at some of the more eloquent music that's being made today, you'd accept it as being as valid as classical.

No. I am not that kind of person. Mozart and others are my favorite. I will not and can not listen to metal because of my strong religion. I enjoy book discusion.

Do you like Wagner? If so, you should realize his music was strongly pagan most of the time.

Many of the bands I listen to are christian, and are far less "evil" than some of the greatest classical works in existence. Open your mind a little, and you'll find that music doesn't have to just sit in a little fishbowl of dusty music, and rot away in a forgotten time.

Maybe it does. And if I did figure out that the music was "evil" then I would not listen to it and you can quote me on that one.

Music isn't going to kill your faith, my friend. If your belief is so strong, you should understand that secular music is not going to seperate you from God. I'm a little bit Christian myself, but I have enough faith that I'm not afraid of music altering my mind.

There's a lot more too. You just gotta listen. Classical is not the only stuff dedicated to God. After all, its not the wrapping paper and package the gift is wrapped in that makes the gift special. Its the gift itself.

Well. I thought with this comic I would let people know how I feel, and maybe other people would feel the same way. I didnt open this thread to get critizied and put down about religion. I might have some weird comics, but by looking at some of other peoples comics,they arent a stop the the funny farm either.

DX has a point. I'm a Christian, though admittedly not a great one, certainly no saint, but I think being anti-Christian doesn't necessarily make a song bad. You have to look at it for what it is - art. Granted, it irritates me when their actual OBJECTIVE is not humor, good music, or the like but simply to offend Christians, because that's just not cool.

If I didn't keep such an open mind on these things, I'd miss out on great songs like the Bloodhound Gang's (yeah, the same people who did "the Discovery Channel song") "Hell Yeah," and I would miss out on great lines like -

"But would I be a good Messiah with my low self esteem?
If I don't believe in myself, would that be blasphemy?"

I just take it with a grain of salt. One thing's for sure, people aren't going to respect my opinions and beliefs because I attack theirs. If they want to be an atheist, that's cool, that's their deal. If the ASK, I'll tell them I think they'd be better of Christian, but I'm not going to try and force it on them. People who do are just the ones that give us a bad name.
