What do you think of the comments this week that "Faggot isn't offensive to gays; it has nothing to do with gay. It's a schoolyard taunt meaning wuss."
It has no basis in reality. Faggot has always been a gay slur. Also, it seems to make light of bullying and discrimination.
But should gays take offense if it's used against someone like John Edwards, who isn't gay?
