| I didn't do anything all day, even though I was supposed to go get my car out of impound. | |

| It turns out I can sue the cop, for searching my trunk. They can search the car, but not the trunk, without a warrant or some kind of cause. | |

| So I have to find a lawyer - that's the hard part - and write up some stuff and meet the deadlines and do some discovery. | |

| It's been fun to actually use my skills for a change. I wrote myself a memo on the law, and need to do another on the facts, while I still remember clearly. | |

| Whether or not I ever follow up on this, I feel better about it now - I've been able to reclaim a bit of my power. | |
