I might be sick, but I'm probably hung over. Delayed reaction from saturday at a law school reunion in missouri, where the drinks were free and too strong.
My car wouldn't go into 3rd gear so i spent sunday taking back roads home, and on monday I had my usual 3 drinks at the club, and now i feel wrecked.

I was reading jared diamond's "guns germs and steel" but i think i left it in the hotel. Now I'll have to buy a copy just to see how it turns out.
So instead I'm reading "kings of new york", good book about a high school chess team.
I bought it at an outlet mall, where i also got a whistling teakettle i needed, and bought levis 501s, first new pair of pants in ten years.
Off to spend the rest of the day in bed. (actually i stayed at the computer all day, doing nothing.)
