Based on a recent xkcd comic, I decided to buy Anathem. I rode my bike 10 miles to my local independent bookstore, but they were out of stock, we'll have it tomorrow, but they didn't have it tomorrow, so I rode downtown and got it from borders which had 20 copies. $32 for a book, sheesh.
