so i'm in mcdonalds in nebraska, waiting for the bus to omaha so i can get a bus to chicago so i can get a bus to kokomo or home.
i did not get into either study i screened for this morning, the 4800 one or the 3800 one.
on the train i made some progres updating the 72-item to do list, and figured ou how to work on google docs while offline.
i convinced them to do my ekc, but it took an argument, so my blood pressure was too high, so i didnt get into the first study.
then i flunked the ekg for the second study - which is the one i would have screened for wednesday if i hadn't missed my train.
update! i got into the chicago study. (i still could end up just being an alternate)
so it was a partial sort of victory - what they wanted me to do was come twice to not get into one study, and i was able to come once to not get into two studies.
now i have to see if tommy is ready for me to come visit him on my way back. waukegan hasn't called yet - i don't expect to get into that one either.
i did a little dumpster diving, and chatted with a friend of mine who is a "homeless" guy in lincoln. like most homeless guys he actually has a home - he's a vet who lives in a tent. down by the river, probably. and i met a guy at the hotel i stay at, but that's another story.
