they tried to bump me $220 on the closing costs. I was watching for that, and we settled for a $112 bump.
yesterday i closed on my new house. took me a year and a half to find the right one and make the cash to pay for it.
today i ran around paying bills that had piled up while i was gone,and checking my new court date, and i have some laundry in, and that was my day.
i really like how the new house is just half a mile south of town, instead of 3 miles east like my current house; it makes it a lot easier to get around by bike.
it's not ready to move into yet; there are plumbing issues and such. it's a duplex so the short term plan is put my stuff in one side and live in the other; the longer term plan is rent out one half.
tomorrow i go back to kalamazoo for a followup thursday, then i think i'll take a couple weeks off.
