got up early, went to the campground where people stayed for the race. didnt find any tents so filled the volvo with cans and a few lawn chairs and such.
then i cut the grass at my talbott house and picked up 6 boxes of books from my neighbor robert. tired from honest work, i'm lounging at a starbucks. also outlined a brief draft while at the club.
i have a bunch more items on my list for today but i probably won't get much done.
it's memorial day, and my thoughts are of phil and dannon, two friends of mine who died of aids.

phil had been a sailor in san diego, and i got to know him from a dignity support group when i was in law school. we used to go dancing at a little club out in the country.
dannon's death was self-inflicted. he went off his meds and was the life of the party at the all night gay diner for a year before he died in his sleep.
