it turns out the supreme court wasn't quite finished for the year after all. today the court announced 8 cases for next fall, and turned down other cases.
so we've got cases on atm machine machines antitrust, cases on whether cities can sue banks for discrimination, a case on welfare for deaf kids, a bankruptcy case,
one about when people can sue a foreign government that nationalizes their stuff,
and one on whether a dog can attend school.
justice thomas dissented from denial of delaware strong families v attorney general, a campaign finance disclosure case.
these 8 cases will be heard next fall by the current 8-justice court, so expect more 4-4 splits.
