What would be so bad about having the UN observe the elections? What's wrong with having outside checks to ensure that they're fair? Allowing this to happen wouldn't be an admission that Rep. Brown is correct.

"We welcome America to observe the integrity of our electoral process and we do not ask, though, for the United Nations to come as monitors at our polling stations," says Rep. Buyer. I tried to translate that into something resembling English, but still found no argument against having observers. ;) ;) ;)

Maybe when the U.N. member nations are all fairly run democracies I'll trust the U.N. to officiate a U.S. election.

What else would I protest? Bush is making the wrong decision. He should not even really be allowed to run fro President. How is it protesting Democracy when the presidential front-runner is a War Criminal? I can only assume that the Geneva Conventions violations you refer to were the prison abuse pictures. Where is your proof George Bush authorized them? And I've never heard solid evidence that they violate the Geneva Conventions. Printing the pictures of prisoners, however, does, which the media did, not George Bush.

I understand that protesting is really just a gibbering cry for attention and / or acceptance. I hope you find that where you go, and not a big fat unexpected crack on the back of the head. That would be sad.
