Here was the menu that my mother prepared for today:

Supper:

Turkeybreast in the crock pot, mac-n-cheese, fantastic stuffing made with some of that hard as a rock fancypants bread that they pass off as a gourmet bread (its not edible unless you make it into bread pudding or stuffing), cranberry sauce, crab macaroni salad with tri color macaroni, mustard potato salad, and some creamcheese/sausage tart like thingies.

Dessert:

Punkin Pie (from Barber Orchards, paid for by my boss, one of the few perks i get with my job) a frozen chocolate dessert that was much like a fudgie-wudgie bar, Jello, and Pineapple upsidown cake with green cherries rather than red cherries due to my allergy to red #40.

The steak was delicious. Thick, juicy, succulent ribeye, marinated, medium well-done, cooked on a backyard grill. Served with skins-on thin-sliced baked potatoes and fresh salad. Topped off with walnut-sprinkled pumpkin cheesecake. I wish I could do it again every day.

I did the turkey this year because I'm learning meats in my Foods class right now. It turned out pretty darn good, if I say do my soself.

My mom made pie and stuffing and other sissy stuff like that.

Alright guys, the turkey is cooking. It's got 4 hours left on the timer. If you can get to High Ridge in that time, you're welcome to join all of us. Yes, there will be family, but there will be friends as well. Plenty of food, but bring your own alcoholic beverages as we don't make a practice of keeping them stocked.

Christmas Eve is also an open house at my house. You can make off with the gifts the ingrates don't want.
