As I've noted in the last discussion on this topic, my username, like kaufman's, is pretty boring. It's fine and dandy having all sorts of nifty aliases and such, but how the fuck can you keep them all straight? I don't have nearly enough brainpower to remember that the thirty or forty usernames I used to register various places. It wouldn't be so bad for things I use a lot, but it's pretty handy. For instance, I had to register to use homegain.com, which I did almost a year ago. Just recently I went back to use it again. I tried gabe_billings as a username, and voila, it worked. Anything weird and I'd have ended up registering again.
As a side note, I always thought that JrnymnNate was some weird play on germinate. The real story isn't as interesting.
Hmmm... when you type my name into Google, you get this, not to mention this, which really weirds me out since that account is about five years old. Then there's this, and then this interesting little tidbit which isn't me. I actually wrote to the chick who made this page and she told me she did in fact go to school with a kid with the same name as me. You think if I go smoke him I'll get tougher, like in that Jet Li movie The One?
