It just seems like you're picking on the little guys and throwing them out before hand. Furthermore, we can't play friendly games with people involved in the tourney because they're "locked in" to someone else and have to "hone their skills". I don't mean to complain so much, it just doesn't seem very fair to me. But, if that's how you want to do it, my dropping out should make no difference, since I'd probably be dropped after the first match anyway. My scores generally range between pretty crappy to average.

This whole thread spawned from the fact that I logged on here drunk as a motherfucker one night and still managed to nail MikeyG* and Kitty into the ground at this game, twice.

I got cocky and decided that a knock out tournament might be a good idea because of my awesomeness.

If someone else is willing to shoulder the responsibility/blame then fine, but to be honest, I'm happy knowing that I'm the best damn literati player on this site, I was merely opening a contest so that at least one of you losers could come in second.

Okay... after reading a bunch of what other people have said about this whole Tourney, I can't help but wonder if no one has taken the "its just a game thing" into consideration. I know I suck at Literati. Hell, everyone knows that I suck at it. But I play because I get to talk to people who I enjoy talking to, and sometimes I learn new words (except when Scyess makes up new ones and I accept them because I've already challenged enough [and lost] that I'll accept any word). I play for the fun of it, not to win. Sure, if I win, bonus, but seeing as that doesn't happen too often...

Regardless, if you guys want to fight about how this being retarded or whatever, fine. I'm still in because I want to have fun. Isn't that what games are for anyway?
