Hold it there, I made my feelings known in evil_d's thread before Kajun even posted there, let alone before he set up a second thread with this Proposition for CC2. We just both happened to have the same views on the situation - no sheeping involved from my end...

I'd also like to add, by the way, that quite a lot of people view the FTC as a "valid" contest. I see no reason for it to be in the "more comic competitions" forum.

Maybe we should have some actual prizes for the CCs and Comic Cups to make them 'official'. Like SC merchandise or something. I'd be willing to put cash towards a prize fund.

Alot of people also view the BTC as a valid contest. Alot of people also view World's Worst as a valid contest. If people keep making more contests then others will also view those as valid contests. Using that logic there is no need for a new forum at all.

You've got a point, crabby, but let me make myself crystal clear on this.

FTC I see as valid because it has been running for a long while now and Kaddar actually put some work into it. He drew awards and rules images for everyone, and even hosted the whole goddamn script for it on his site. There's a lot of thought and effort that went into the FTC. There are a slew of awards to give out, and although a few people view some if not most of them as trivial, they are awards.

None of the other contests have this, and the same amount of work was not put into any of the other contests. There are things you can play with in the set-up of the FTC that no one has done yet, or at least I have not seen anyone do.

There's my 2 cents. Throw 'em back at me if you must, but there they are.

Excellent points, you've caused me to rethink my entire outlook and life. Perhaps FTC should be included in the Comic Competitions thread due to all of kaddars hard work. Kaddar has gone above and beyond the call of duty making great art work for us all to use. He also put alot of love and time into creating the various awards for the FTC. I now would hope that the SC governing body would look into adding the FTC to the Comic Competitions thread.

I agree, Mikey, but the FTC will be a valid contest wherever it is. I refuse to think of the new forum as a trash heap, and the different contests within it as invalid.

I am not sure if I've ever entered a FTC contest, but I'm sure if I did, I'd probably win one of the pointless awards, even if I just posted the two asian girls saying nothing at all for three panels, that's how crappy and pointless the contest AND the awards have become.
