This generation of consoles has led me to trust nintendo. The X-box will be powerful, as will the PS3, though the gameplay on the PS3 WILL NOT LOOK LIKE THE GAMEPLAY VIDEO OF KILLZONE WHICH IS NOT ACTUALLY GAMEPLAY. Sony lied about the capabilities of the PS2 before launch (they showed pre-rendered movies and said they weren't) and is lying again. Trust me.
The 360 looks cool, and the PS3 looks like LIES LIES OMG LIES, but Nintendo is seriously on the ball. Microsoft and Sony are pursuing the "better graphics" route while Nintendo keeps trying to make fun games for cheaper prices. The DS is coming into its own. I don't have one, but from what i read, the touch screen is starting to make a whole lot of sense. Different ways of controlling videogames is where its at. Beating drums, dancing on pads, touchscreens, gyroscopic doohickes...Nintendo is exploring it all. It's all about the games, people. If I want to watch a movie, I'll put in a DVD.
What I like about Nintendo is I can buy 5 games for their system and play them for 5 years.
However, my computer is still the gaming platform of choice for me. Yay for World of Warcraft.
