What Are the Rules to This Contest? You can find a bunch of them on the last page of the new Competitions forum. They're difficult as hell, and a lot of fun if you have the right psychological defects.

It's also a good example of an actual different contest format that didn't cause me to complain that it belonged in the regular CC.

I thought this was a pointless idea until I poked my head in the MCC forum and saw those great "new" contests in there.

On the other hand, I really don't see why an entire CC forum is necessary for only two active threads.

There were usually only two contests running back in the original CC forum anyways. If you notice before this new forum was made, rogue contests were moved (check out the Test Forum). Every so often, some wiseass would wander in and start "CC 5000", even though we were on CC 200.

With this other forum, people can make up whatever contest they want without it getting moved. Plus this brings back the purity of the old contest forum. It used to be a badge of honor to win a contest, now it's too easy to snag some kind of award. I should know...I am guilty as charged of handing out too many awards in the FTCs I've run.
