Wow again.
Before I pass judgement and declare the host of Milestone Comic Contest 300â„¢, I would like to express my thanks for the response to Pre-Milestone Comic Contest 300 Contest 299â„¢. And 99.9% of them were humorous enough to get me to smile! (I'm not enthralled with the "1337"...) Some notes, then.
I loved how some of the strips actually went up against specific opponents -- HCRoyall vs finn34, and flipynif1 with the dual-personality of random comic layout guy and edoggydog.... and the unforgettable DexX vs himself.
No quarter was given. (Cheap bastards.) No butt was kissed. (Thanks for that. I really would have hated to disqualify anyone. And I really don't have the energy to stalk anyone. And as sexy as I think Spankling is, I don't want to marry anyone here.) No topic was taboo. No pun was too corny. (Think of the Jon character in his joy/pain pose here.)
Unfortunately, the Red Cross didn't want kaufman's bonus points -- they wanted cash or some other such nonsense -- so I distributed the points equally among the other comics using a very complex mathematical algorithm. So everyone got extra fractions of points for each comic. Either that, or we're at war with Spain. I can never read those output files.
And now... drumroll please... The results you've all been waiting for (or skipping over the other preamble to get to)...
Out of 115 entries, only one can be the winner. Using a complex series of numeric-style calculations, allowing for wind chill factor, heat index, barometric pressure, and all-around abuse of the word Groovy (which I clamed for myself about two year ago), I finally came to the conclusion that math hurts my head. So I decided to judge based on what made me laugh the hardest.
Except in the case of my bias toward kaufman, where I thought about dead kittens as I read his strips. Unfortunately, that made them funnier.

HurricaneJenn - for her campaign promise strip. (#315007)

mmyers - for his most excellent banner (#314641)
