That was just an example. But don't count it out. There are plenty of non-acting things you can do -- lighting, sets, crew, etc..

The point is to find something that interests you and maybe you'll meet women who share similar interests. Unless your interests are things that only interest men or are best done alone. (ahem). In which case, you need to cultivate new interests.

Get a part time job at a Hallmark store. You will probably be the only male employee.

On the other hand, I met my wife on the Internet, you can take my advice with a grain of salt.

Hey, Nate. I'm going to give you the best piece of advice you're ever going to get on women. Many people will argue with this, and in a moral sense, they will be absolutely right. I'm trying to save you any more heartache.

Here's the advice:

Ignore thei obvious femininity. Basically, what I mean is, do NOT do anything for a girl that you would not do for a guy friend. If the girl isn't a good friend, don't subject yourself to their whims. My sincere advice is to train yourself to not even be interested in them. For some reason, girls flock to guys who don't seem actually eager to get to know them. Seriously, give them just a small amount of your interest, because you should make it seem like you don't NEED their attention. I know it's dishonest, because most of us in these positions really DO want their attention. But if you remain aloof and let them no in no uncertain terms that your life will go on with or without them in it, people will notice that. They may even mistake it for confidence, and maybe one day you can even build it into that.

Just remember, Nate, that nobody fucks with your heart, man. Let them come to you, let them make the moves, and if you're feeling the least bit desperate, hide it like a motherfucker.

As an advocate of theatre (community and otherwise), let me say that actresses, dancers, and hairdressers are crazy. It's an adventure, sure, but make no mistake, they are crazy. You've been warned.

When I worked in the mall, I met a lot of nice (including my wife) girls there. I always wanted to meet a girl in an art class but any time I took a class, I got preoccupied with the arty stuff. Meet a cool girl in an art class, Nate, so that I may live vicariously through you.

Today at school I went to this Victorian Lady one woman play, it was about women in victorian times, mostly about the clothes they wore but also the world they lived in. It was sort of fruity to be there, lots of old people, very few guys (I came for food and because I was bored) but there were also a couple hot chicks. I've been reading that Don Juan Boot Camp thing and i swear to god it works

I met this girl who lives like right down the road from me, very sexy person. Started talking and she left before it was over but not before she gave me her number. I used one of the tips from the file I linked - I did not ask for her number, I told her to give it to me. "Hey I enjoyed talking to you, give me your phone number so we can get together some time." Worked like a charm. There's a lot of articles about the right mindset in that guide that are great.

Maybe she just liked you. Why credit a guide for all your work? Or maybe she didn't like you and you scared her by demanding the number and she'll blow you off when you call.

Because it's all about mindset. Nothing works 100% of the time, but if the book gives him the confidence to do it anyway, then that's good enough.

maybe she did, but the best way to think about it is not to worry or care if she did or didn't. if she does blow you off, obviously she's not interested. but i see what you're saying... i dodn't give the guide all of the credit but I feel some of the advice was helpful.

had a busy week, called girl tonight, she couldn't talk and asked if she could call back, i said no and told her i'd call her back, and we'd go out to eat sometime during the week, and she was like "ok cool!"

called her back maybe a half hour later (I was at applebees watching the baseball game and my brother in law wanted to leave early), she was over a friends house still so couldn't talk, again asked if she could call back, i told her no, i'd just call her tommorow after class

she seemed interested :/

You should keep telling her she can't call you and the continually call her back every 15 min. knowing damn well that she still can't talk. You smooth playa you!

Whatever you do, don't call over and over again. That's what I did with Cities, and she never returned them.
