At first I was thinking, OK, that's cool, he photoshopped himself in there from other shots, pasting his head on other people's bodies, but then I realized that the lighting is accurate for every single Kajun. That's amazing! I'm thinking there must be a layering of repeated shots (or video captures, although it seems to be high quality) from a tripod and then some selective transparencies to add in new Kajuns with a bit of the background (so you get the proper shadows and furniture deformations). I think he must have had to do the photography relatively quickly, though, or else the natural light would move enough to make the lighting look inconsistent. I guess now I'll have to refer to Kajun as an idiot savant.

I set my camera on the other side of the room with some sticky putty so that it wouldn't move (the camera moved in the picture of me playing the playstation and caused an extra 30 seconds of work). The camera was so far against the wall that I had to put a mirror behind it so that I could look at the screen to set the timer, then I just ran over and sat down changing clothes really quickly between shots. The 3 on the couch and the one sitting on the far left were all taken within minutes of each other, I loaded them on and just cut out everything that each Kajun was affecting, shadows, reflections on tables etc and layered them. Then I looked at it and thought "more" so I went back and tried to get the camera in the same place again and took the pictures of the other two (I would have had one Kajun looking in the window from outside, but the timer only goes up to 10 seconds and I wouldn't make it out the back door quick enough).

It took 27 minutes from the first picture to be taken to the final file being saved.

I figured that's how you did it. I've actually done some similar stuff with a digital cam, myself. I did the opposite though, making it look like something was floating in the air, rather than me holding it. Killing the shadows was a BITCH.
