I just finnished watching there show, "22 Greatest Bands". Needless to say, MTV yet again showed that they have no knowledge of music. Nor do they know good music for shit. Here is there top 5:

I agree with Radioheads position, but other than that...

Why Christ? WHY??? Why would they do this to the world of music? I did like a few bands on the list. When I say a few, I mean 3. The Cure, Radiohead, and Nirvana are cool bands. I dont think Nirvana is the number 1 band in the world though.

I can't remember the last time I saw a music video being played on MTV.

I suppose my opinions are invalid, but I still think that the absence of Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Megadeth, Slayer, Queen, Blind Guardian, Dream Theater, and several other bands is inexcusable. When bands like Korn get on a "top 100" list, and Dream Theater isn't even mentioned, it makes me sick. Every time people's shitty taste in music changes, the bands on the list change to include the latest crappy bands, but no one looks at the classic greats.

Feck it. All MTV plays anymore is reality TV with some rap videos tossed in for good measure.

MTV is not about Rock & Roll, though. It's about pop. Sure, it may be glitzy, and shallow, but a good pop song has just as much worth as the rock and roll classics. Rock & Roll isn't dead, you're just not going to find it on MTV.
