All "reality" goes out the window when the cameras start rolling. Even documentaries aren't real unless there's absolutely zero editing. Even then, the people being filmed are aware that they're on film. Wouldn't you act differently?

It's not just that. They cast people and create situations to create drama. That's not reality. Even if the scene is unscripted, it is a created circumstance for TV.
And I'm not sure how much of it is even unscripted.
Hasn't anyone noticed that the people who get on these reality shows are often aspiring actors?
I've been saying this for years in my own little circles of people. Once you know a camera is on you, there is no more "reality". Even if there is no camera, if the people are aware they are being observed, they will act differently.
It's a joke, and "the Real World" is no more real than Liberace's heterosexuality.
