What Canada Day Means to Me

In Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, we celebrate by having a big party at the largest park in Saskatoon. It starts with a pancake breakfast, with live entertainment happening all day. The beer gardens open at 9am as well, and they are fun.
We start drinking early, and keep it going until late in the morning the next day.
You are not a patriotic Canadian if you are not drunk. Unless you don't drink, are pregnant or nursing, or are the designated driver.

I also left out the part where you spend the entire day in the beer gardens as opposed to paying attention to the entertainment stage or anything like that; get rained on while in the beer gardens; get hit on and get ass slapped by a stranger, who slaps so hard it brings tears to your eyes; and cutting your foot pretty bad on a pole holding up one of the beer tents.
