I know three people through other forums that I consider good friends that lost their homes in the hurricane. There is also one other acquaintance that we have completely lost touch with and may well be dead.

Having said that, I don't take advice on decency and respect from anyone named "mrpoop" on a comic website.

Anyone that has a problem with that can go fuck themselves.

One last thing...

There are plenty of more appropiate ways to handle my original post. I was not aggressive, I was not insulting, I was simply requesting something that I felt was morally appropiate. Mandingo responded very politely, in a non-inflamatory manner. I agree with him. It was a angle at which I didn't look at when I posted originally.

I think the best way to satirize a disaster while it's happening, is not to make fun of the poor people actually dying (that's just straight-up fucked up), but to expose the incompetence of the federal response or show the impact on pop-culture, society, the media, etc.
