It's odd... a lot of it is really bitingly funny, and other parts are really quite touching. I was waiting for a joke at the end of the "Flag cake" story, but none came. It was really quite sweet.

That said, the "Bush Sr apologises to Bush Jr" story is a cack.

i read the onion yesterday morning and was just blown away by how they managed to toe the line between funny and tasteless. while the "terrorists in hell" story is the funniest (and probably most onionesque), the "jerry bruckheimer movie" story had the most subdued feel to it--especially the end.

i actually printed the whole fucking issue.
