I know some people can't be arsed to read through 50 whole strips, but I accidentally created a recurring joke which began with the strip below, but the effect is lessened when all the relevant strips are viewed in one go.

I guess what I'm saying is if you're remotely interested, read through all my Protosquid strips to enjoy what most of my friends cite as the most memorable joke in my strips.

i'm one of those can't be arsed to read through 50 strips, but i can see how this would be funny. you do one, then do a bunch of other stuff, then have the joke recur, blindsiding the reader, then do a bunch of other stuff, then blindside them again. that how you have it?

Pretty much. The structure of Protosquid was invented as it went along, so it ended up that there were several general sets of characters which occasionally intermingled. One set was the T-Rex and his wife the Hadrosaur who live on the moon and own a 'coffee' shop.

Every now and then I would divert from the main characters to one of the side stories, particularly this joke. Some of the main story arc in Protosquid is quite dark so it was good to throw a little relief in.
