Godzilla, ey?
I am most definitely 'evil clown' there. Which sucks, in a way because I used to think I was fairly unique and brilliant.
I started back in the Fido_net days of the ancient 300 and 1200 baud modems.
I've refined it down to a science. So that I generally don't do it to places where I 'hang out'.
Unlike a 'troll' or 'jerk' who will just come out and razz someone, I tend to work a little more carefully. As an example;
I once went to a website of baseball referees, prepared with mock text from Abner Double Day and tried to convince them there was a 5th base variant to baseball originally.
I would quote rules and say "Well, if you will check your original double day reader, it clearly says..."
These guys would actually have the old texts, but I would say "Is yours published AFTER 1969? clearly, you realize that some things were changed based on.." and I had all these precedents.
It was funny in a slow and painfully tedious way.
Another time, I used to make all these "YTMNDs" about a guy named "Joe" that we saw on myspace that came to be known as "Joe Failure" along with other people. we took pics of him from the site.
Here are a few
http://joehenersleyrox.ytmnd.com/
That one for instance, could go either way. I sent that to him and said "Hey man, love what you are doing, we made this as a tribute".
That way it gets him to click and he is like neat.
Then daily I sent him another, and would ignore his question or comment and go;
"Yeah man, you are right, well check this out!"

then after about 12 straight days, he would say;
"These are starting to seem hateful, and creepy. I don't understand why you are making these about me?"
and I would say
"Yeah i know! isn't it great. Listen, its meant in the best way, hey check this out"

Then finally I sent this one;
http://joecoaster.ytmnd.com/
its based on the darthvader "NOOOOOOOO" from Star Wars, except I changed it to "JOOOOOOOOOOOOE!" and I made some edits to a animation of him on a rollercoaster, and he is like flipping the world a bird and so I am like;
"Yeah, you are like telling the world to go to hell, its cool!"
and he goes "I don't even like star trek, why did you put me on that roller coaster with Darth vader?"
anyway, eventually he sends me about 25 emails that essentially are a melt down.
That is when I knew the joke had finally reached its conclusion and I patted myself on the back for a job well done, picking a stranger and making fan sites and sending them to him daily.
That is what Evil Clown's do.
