I have been trying for a long time to place an avatar and always receive the message that the avatar is too large.  Therefore, I went to a site which provides only 60x60 avatars (max size recomended by stripcreator) only to keep getting the same message.  So what am I doing wrong!  Seems if I went smaller in size it would be a waste.

I went to Google images and put in the 60 x 60 size under "search tools" when I searched for an avatar and that how I found mine.

Thanks "leg" but it still didn't work.  I chose one from that very page and the message now says it's still too large or invalid.  Invalid?  What does THAT mean?

Actually that may have been helpful.

You referenced a file called "avatar.ghost face. jpg".  But that name isn't enough by itself.  Stripcreator doesn't host the avatar image for you.  It has to be on some other web site.  Then you need to provide the full URL of the image.

For example, my avatar is at http://triskaideka.net/etc/sc/bw_decoy_60.jpg .  I had to upload the bw_decoy_60.jpg file to triskaideka.net (that's my own web site) and then put that entire address into the "Avatar image URL" field.

I don't know what web sites people usually use to host their avatars.  Maybe someone else can answer that.
