It's DUX, man. As in Latin. But hey, it's a silly name, you're allowed to get it wrong. :>
An important thing for comic creation to remember: sometimes silence is funnier than words. In the strip I pointed at as being good, it wasn't necesary for the beggar to say anything else. Leaving some things to the imagination ("What would that dude think if I showed him I had a $500 check but no cash?") can be far funnier than what you can write.
Also, spelling and proper English and stuff I find always helps the feel of a comic. It's a minor thing, but when I see all lower/upper case comics, or l337 speak or whatever, be it in emails, text messages or comci strips, I always find it eats at the credibility, and that's important for humour: as I said, a sting of real life keep it going. Hence me mocking this in:
