The other night I got to see a VCD of The Matrix Reloaded that was filmed with a camcorder in a cinema. It was crap and then some.

Although, the Ten minute "Final Flight of the Osiris" was good.

Hurray for it.

I made a point of not reading this thread until I had actually seen the film, which I did last night.

Here's my quick review

Pointless:

Rambling French fruit,
rambling architect geezer,
fat Morpheus' past love life,
kissing scene in men's toilet,
fight scene with Oracle's toy-boy,
Link's comedy responses.

Good:

Entire motorway scene,
almost every other action scene (despite that fact that, as brad said, the outcome was never in doubt),
the plot.

Standout point of the movie for me was Agent Smith, man, I love that guy, definitely the best character in it. The fact that he's now a rogue program with no real purpose anymore, that's excellent, I love him more than I loved Magneto in X-2.

I stayed until the end of the credits (with my friends, I didn't just sit alone) to see the trailer for Revolutions and there's more Agent Smith(s), so they've got my vote.

All-in-all I thought it was a good movie and I look forward to seeing it again someday.

That kid was the boy Neo saved in the Animatrix: Kid's Story. The entire Matrix Reloaded movie was filled with plugs for Enter the Matrix and the Animatrix, not to mention Revolutions, of course.

I wouldn't call the Animatrix references plugs exactly, since the Animatrix shorts were technically released before the movie. I did like the continuity with the shorts, though.

The stupidest part is when Trinity hacks into Warner Bros corporate HQ, downloads a script, and realizes they're all just characters in a movie. Sorry if I spoiled the ending for anyone.
