I agree about the White Stripes. But I have a funny story that goes with that as well. My friend and her husband LOVE the White Stripes, go figure. So they bought tickets to the concert and then found out they were having a baby. The due date was the date of the concert. NO ONE has their baby on the due date. Well, Matty did. She was on the steps of the Fox Theater and suddenly she couldn't handle it anymore. So her husband was frantically trying to get rid of the tickets while someone else called his wife an ambulance. They never got rid of the tickets, that ought to say something about the White Stripes.

Simple Plan, My Chemical Romance, and other whiny popular bands who go on and on about why their heart aches and blah blah blah. And have any of you seen MCR's "Helena" music video? It made me want to stop watching TV all together.

It was that album that made me hate them. Those are the two most Gawd-awful songs I have ever heard and the thrice-be-damned radios stations in my town were playing them twice for every other song they played for over a month.

It's grime time.

Recently I noticed some people on sites like OKcupid or myspace or hotornot were listing Interpol as an interest, and I thought that was odd. I know some spooks, but Eurospooks, not so much. Turned out it's a band.
So right now I'm not listening to Interpol.
No radio on in the house, tv broke awhile back, car broke down and it's on a jazz/classical college station anyway,
so about all i hear is the 12 songs in rotation at the club when i go out about once a week. I used to go to kareoke and learn the pop songs secondhand that way, but i've stopped going, not sure why.
I was raised in a pop-music-free household and have a low tolerance for anything overplayed to death.

Weepy Country will never make sense to you until you listen to it when you're heartbroken. You won't necessarily like it, but you'll understand it. Country's started to go down the tubes as well. About the only good stuff out there is Johnny Cash's stuff, Shooter Jennings, and anything Toby Keith did in the past few years. The rest has turned into a pop-fest.
