Actually, with jews and blacks on the plane, I don't feel any different.
Of course, even though it's been generally arabs who make planes go boom in the US, it's just WRONG to be a little more cautious around those of middle-eastern heritage. COME ON.
If every day, you walk outside and a scraggly-bearded redneck jumps up and punches you in the mouth, then the next day, a different scraggly-bearded redneck does the same, day after day, are you gonna fear a black man more, or the white guy with the scraggly beard?
So if every few weeks a plane explodes in our skies and it just so happens that it's a really tan guy wearing a towel around his head, I think it's reasonable to be a little more afraid of other people who fit that bill.
But hey, what do I know? I'm just a stupid racist white guy who never flies and has worked with and trusted many indians and pakis. Never felt uncomfortable around any of them, but then, I've never been on a plane with my ex co-workers.
Seriously dude, shut the fuck up and get to the back of the line. Everyone's been through it. Catholics, irish, mexicans, blacks, jews, germans, and there's always collateral damage from the onset of racist undertones. Get over yourself. We've all been through shit. It's when we stop focusing on the shit we've been through and start focusing on the shit we're all going through now that life will start to get better permenantly. History shows no signs of progress when people focus on the past, but it shows plenty of progress when people focus and work to change the present.
So sorry your country likes to bomb other countries. So does ours. When Americans go to Europe, they tell everyone they're Canadian because everyone fucking hates the US. Maybe rightly so, but it no more means that we're all imperialist bastards who are just out to blow up third-world countries than being an arab means you're a dirty towel-head with delusions of suicide bombing heaven.
