Today's Friday, it's the normal day that I go to Goodwill to go shopping. If time permits, I'll be browsing there today.
There's absolutely NOTHING wrong with buying clothes at these places (agreed about the used underwear, though - why do they even put it out there? A new pack is like $5/6). A new suit jacket bought at J.C. Penny = $45. The SAME suit jacket, worn maybe once or twice by someone who needed it for a job interview or to "be taken seriously" at Goodwill = $1.50.
Furthermore, ANYONE who buys ONLY new clothes for their baby (through 5 years, the fastest growing years) is STUPID, and I'd like very much to be their friend so they might buy me things too. I don't buy my son's clothes at Goodwill because they mostly only have clothes for little girls, but I do pass along ALL of my son's clothes to anyone I know with a boy younger than Travis, and gratefully accept donations from other friends and family members.
True Chicka Fact # 2094: I wore my older brother's hand-me-down jeans when I was 3-7.
