I realize they're restricted to the RMDC forum, but.. uh.. could we still ban them? Please? They really do suck. They spam the non-donar comic sections, the RMDC forum and harrass several posters. I have no problem with posters who just happen to not be funny, but these fucktards are just trolls.

kon, Doug, MrAdventure, Neutonahav, Pornography, Zerosignalone and any one of the other aliases I've forgotten to mention, because I'm pretty sure at least a few of them are just different handles for the same guy.

i just ignore any threads they start, and if i see they are polluting somebody else's thread, i usually ignore that one too.

the best thing to do is not perpetuate their flaming by responding--they'll get bored.

But I like hosing with dcom. And he's not a disease or anything... in general.

Which is really unusual for a walking sack of necrotic decay. Phew, is it just me or did something crawl up in here and die?

Unfortunately, I've been doing a lot of that lately. I look at who started the thread and who the last person was to post a response before deciding whether to view it.

It is a shame, though, because it was partly based on the positive feedback I got in RMDC that I stuck with the site and donated. Perhaps when the kiddies go back to school next month, their activity will wane.

I vote for the banning of everyone except ShitFaceUncleFucker and Deisel. Then I'll be the funniest person on the site.

Alright guys. I'm not going to pretend I know what those folk have done in the forums, but I'll say at least pornography I find to be very funny comic-wise, and many of my friends enjoy his work too.

I think people should be less judgmental on such users - humor comes in different forms, and just because you don't like abstract humor doesn't mean no one does. I believe they have as much right to continue with their comics as kaufman or Scyess. If they're that bad in the forums, maybe you can ban them from the forums then - is that too illogical?

The banning of mommyanddaddy made me rather upset. Even worse was the banning of kon, whom I always considered to be the most intelligent of that bunch. Most probably didn't bother to check, but kon actually had some intelligent and witty comics - well, I guess no one will know now, since all of them were deleted.

I won't say that Brad bans such people to gain crowd favor, mostly because I haven't seen enough of the forums to justify that yet, but I do have my suspicions. Brad seems pretty cool and I was a bit perplexed by the two bannings. I also wonder why everyone loves fuck (not that I don't) and everyone hates these guys. I am reminded of middle school, when if the popular kid told a joke everyone would laugh, but the geek telling the same joke was scorned and attacked. To quote Thomas Edward Brown, "A rich man's joke is always funny." If you can't apply that quote to this situation you probably shouldn't be judging these people anyway.

For the record, I don't enjoy most of these people. Definitely fuck, pornography, mommyanddaddy, kon, and occasionally Schlong (who seems to be a nice guy to boot) however, I consider pretty funny and, as I said, so do my friends.

That's just my two cents on the issue. And if you don't like someone's comics...don't read 'em!

The bans are for trolling, spamming, flooding, and inappropriate behavior in the forums. Nobody, or almost nobody, got banned for bad comics.

(A good thing too -- I could name some people who IMHO started out lousy and now make some inspired stuff.)

IB_XC, thank you from the bottom of my jaded little heart for being the only person to date to defend those users in a polite and rational fashion.

That said, you're lucky Brad is a patient man. I would have banned them, not to mention some people who are still here, a long long time ago.

I find only the minutest traces of humor in their comics, and their forum posts are not only annoying but also demonstrate a complete disregard for the amount of time, effort, and money required to run this site.

That's not to say that I would object if they were allowed to create comics but not post to the forums -- as long as they don't use the comic creation facility to spam the site too. If not being funny were against the rules of this site, over half of its users would have been banned by now.

But I have little sympathy for them and am unwilling to lift a finger on their behalf. They have no one to blame for their bans but themselves. And it's not as if Stripcreator is the only comic creation site on the web. (In fact, that's a great idea. Let's tell them to go to Create-A-Strip and call it even.)

As an aside, I would say that being able to tell the difference between these users and fuck is a mark of sophistication. But that's just my opinion, which you can value or ignore as you will.
