The DCI's job is one of coordination. People on the payroll will know the enemy. Aren't you being a little racist and short-sited when you assume all of our enemies are strictly Arabic?

The CIA has people on the payroll who understand the Arabic threat. And they have people on the payroll that understand the Chinese threat. And they have people on the payroll who understand the Indonesian threat, and so forth. I think you are completely out of your depth and have no clear idea of the subject you are pretending to speak.

you're right, it doesn't mention other cultures, only Arabs. Goss allegedly said he probably wouldn't be hired by the CIA to work on Arab accounts because he doesn't have the background. He doesn't say he could never lead the CIA because he doesn't have an Arabic background. You're saying he should lead the CIA based on his comments about not having the correct (Arabic) cultural background. I'm telling you, again and again and again, that the CIA leader doesn't need an Arabic background. He's not doing analysis on Arab groups, he's not translating documents, he's not going into the field and mixing with them, and above all else, he's dealing with many other nations besides Arab ones.

You're right the article doesn't mention other cultural groups. Therefore Goss only allegedly speaks to a shortcoming in his Arabic background, something that in no way would impede his ability to be the DCI.

By you accusing Goss of not having the "correct cultural background" to lead the CIA, you do so only based on the information in the article. In the article he only allegedly says he does not have the appropriate Arabic background to be hired by the CIA for their most important work. He doesn't mention other cultural deficiencies. Therefore, if you agree with Michael Moore that this should disqualify him from being elligible for the DCI, you are doing so based on your assumption that only an Arabic cultural background in the DCI will do us any good. I, and Congress, and a lot of the Democrats, disagree with your stupidity.

By the way, I think George Tenet has a strong Greek background. Sure helped us in our bitter war against Greece.

There's nothing wrong with serving in the reserves. Especially when you don't make claims that you stood by while your comrades cut off heads and ears of young boys, without reporting the atrocities. (Video proof here, .wmv file) The fact of the matter is Kerry either committed serious crimes by not reporting the "atrocities and war crimes" when he saw them, or he lied.

But Kerry should know what goes around comes around. And I didn't hear Bush standing up and whining when the media was all over one single missing document in regards to his service.

Anyway, all in all this is a great site. Sure it exposes horrible things about Kerry, but at least he served his full four months in Vietnam. ;)
