I remember a "behind the scenes" story in Time magazine that came out while the movie was being made in which they discussed the use of a latex prosthesis for Montalban. I seem to remember Montalban actually commenting about how it was uncomfortable but he liked to wear it anyway. It is very strange that he would later claim that that was all him, unless he was just joking.

Anyone ever see Shakes the Clown? Starring Bobcat Goldthwickety-thwack or whatever the hell his name is. It's all about this town populated by tons of clowns, most of which seem to wander around drunk alot. Anyhoo, there's one scene where three of them are driving around in a convertible through the park when they see a mime. So they chase him down and beat the crap out of him.

The moral of this story is don't be a mime in a town filled with drunken clowns. Or something to that effect.
