They make over 30,000 Corvette's a year. Yeah they're fast, but you see every 30-something businessman with a trophy wife driving one. They're great cars and I love them, but they're just not as special as they used to be. They only HAND BUILT a couple thousand GT's and never will again. They're more collectors items than anything. It's the same reason why you buy a Ferrari... It's the passion and the heritage. The Chevy Corvette can't claim to have roots in placing a 1-2-3 finish in the 24 Hours of LeMans now can it?
