Greetings from the Disputed Territories of Toboria!
Our chamber of commerce says The Disputed Territories of Toboria is a tiny, environmentally stunning nation, notable for its absence of drug laws. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 5 million love a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and the wealthy viewed with suspicion.
The government -- a sprawling, bureaucracy-choked, socially-minded morass -- concentrates mainly on Social Welfare, although Healthcare and Education are on the agenda. The average income tax rate is 40%, but much higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Door-to-door Insurance Sales.
Crime is relatively low. Toboria's national animal is the cat, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the pink donkey.
