I saw this TV show once; it was either an episode of the Twilight Zone or Amazing Stories. This guys wakes up one day to find all his family and neighbors gone. The only people around are these weird guys dressed in solid color jumpsuits that are running around working on various things. It turns out he's somehow slipped out of the normal flow of time. These people are 'building' each second in time, and sooner or later, normal time and everyone else will zip through the particular moment that he's in and move on down the temporal road. A supervisor of one of the workers runs into him and explains what's going on. One of the things he points out is that whenever you can't find your keys or your wallet and you're sure you know where you left it, it's because one of these mooks didn't put it back in exactly the right spot when they were building that moment in time.
Well I walked out of the grocery store today and pulled my grocery list out of my pocket and to my surprise found a movie stub. Had it been to something I'd seen in the past week I wouldn't have thought much of it, but this particular stub was for a 3/13 showing of 'Analyze This', which I assume was in 2000.
I have absolutely no fucking clue where this thing must have been sitting for the past two and a half years. It certainly wasn't because I haven't worn these pants in a long time, since I had them on yesterday.
It's just plain weird.
My only thought is that those guys that make time fucked up again, and put this in my pants by mistake.
