I don't feel too hysterical. And complaining about troops not getting some of their mail isn't whining? I think it's funny you think I'm whining about your points, instead of completely making fun of them.

In any event I was never too sure why being in the Navy was supposed to confer some kind of automatic sainthood to Kerry. I know people who have been in the Navy, and frankly some of them are idiots.

Anyway, I'm not sure another four years of Bush wouldn't be a good thing in the long run. Let's wallow in our national dysfunction until even the stubbornest gun-sucking yahoo with a voting card has had enough. And I don't see how it's of any benefit to the Democrats to go into the White House with a huge shovel to clean up all the elephant shit left behind. They'll just wind up getting blamed for the mess.

BTW, it is not a lie that Kerry witnessed war crimes. Those units participated in search-and-destroy missions and "free-fire zones." Both are violations of the Geneva Conventions. This was Kerry's response to that same critic in 1971, and the critic did not address the point then, and he still hasn't.

His point boils down to "me no see no war crimes." Well, did you see search and destroy missions and free-fire zones? "Yes." Then you saw war crimes. "Me no see no war crimes!" Round and round.

Yeah, I listened to Kerry's 1971 testimony, as well as the replay of the Dick Cavett show where Kerry and this guy faced off, on C-SPAN radio. Yeah, one of the presets on my car radio is C-SPAN. I find that one part of forming opinions is listening to what's going on.
