As some of you know, I listen to punk. This is not a thread where we talk about who is a "poser" or who knows more about punk. Those threads are 100% stupid. Instead, I would like to hear some feedback from people who really enjoy the music. I'll start:

Today I got "Crass-The Feeding of The 5000", "Vice Squad-No Cause for Concern", "The Unseen-Complete Singles Collection: 1994-2000" and "A Global Threat-What The Fuck Will Change?". These cd's are all really, really good. A Global Threat rocked my socks off. Crass's is still playing in the background as we speak. The Unseen are superkickass! Although all of the cd's kicked ass, we are now at my favorite out of the 4 new cd's. Vice Squad's "No Cause for Concern" blew my head off 1000 times through the course of the cd. I was in love after the first song! All of these cd's are worth it and I incourage anyone who listens to Punk to give these a try(If you haven't already, which is doubtful). Im getting Subhumans "EP/LP" this week also, so I'll have more to talk about. God Bless cd burners. Lets fire up some discussion here!

The other day I was invited to go watch UK Subs play in a small pub in Gateshead, seems they are on a reunion tour or something, I was just amazed that they picked such a small venue. They were quite big in their hey-day.

Today I was planning to listen to some punk, then it hit me: I'm not a fucking loser.

I knew a kid who used to talk about how punk rock he was and stuff. His clothes were all torn up and his hair was greasy and he got into lots of fights. Then, one day I was selling seeds door to door and when he answered the door he had tears in his eyes. I looked into his house and discovered he was crying from watching a rerun of Small Wonder. I later learned that he wasn't punk rock at all, he was just poor.

That story made ME cry. I'm hoping you're only kidding, because that's awful.

the feeding of 5000 is a awesome/terrible cd. im not saying terrible is a bad thing because crass is so bad that they kick ass

i remember the last time i saw the unseen was like 2 years ago with corpus christi. it was a good show. id reccomend the unseen's version of "beat it"

the latest cd i bought was Social Distortion "White Light, White Heat, White Trash" i had been looking for that cd for years, but i finally found it XD

The only punk rock albums I ever bought were The Stiffs because it had Elvis Costello on it, and The Plasmatics because they had some really great naked tits with electrical tape on them, uh, I mean songs.

w00t! I heart Crass. Very provocative and gutsy. Not always an easy listen, but always worth it.

I love bands who have the guts to, in conventional terms, "suck." Like Beat Happening, Half Japanese, Jandek, The Raincoats, etc... There's something very visceral about a band flailing about, seemingly unable to withhold their enthusiasm long enough to corral their instruments. Especially if the tunes are there, but somewhat buried beneath the rubble.
