For some reason, I cannot copy and paste things from the IRC. Is this just my browser (I use Safari), or does the IRC hate me?

Depends what you use to view the chat in. I use mIRC, and I know that doesn't let you copy anything, I would assume the java is the same way.

mIRC lets you copy everything, even the code behind the txt.

Once the txt is highlighted then it is automatically Copied.

Grassi: I havnt used Java in a while but i dont think your able to copy. I could be wrong though.

It depends. Mac users, I guess it copies automatically when highlighted. But Windows users, you have to highlight and hold the button, because the moment you let go it stops being highlighted, and press control-c to copy. Control-V then pastes it.

Actually I just tried it in mirc for windows, and it does actually copy when you select some text. Yes it doesnt stay selected, but it is actually copied onto the clipboard so you can paste it wherever you like

From what I've noticed though, it will only copy the text that's viewable in the window. So if you have to scroll up to select a large section of text, the stuff that scrolls out of the window will not be copied.

Which could just be me doing something wrong, I dunno.

Turn on logs for channels.

Open up the channel logfile.

Highlight the text.

Copy.

Paste.

Rinse.

Repeat.
